A meeting was held ahead of the “Melodies and Colors of Fergana” Traditional Handicraft Exhibition

Today, the Chairman of the Republican “Hunarmand” Association, R. Mirzaaxmedov, held a meeting via the Zoom platform with craftsmen from Fergana province. The meeting was held in preparation for the “Melodies and Colors of Fergana” Traditional Handicraft Exhibition, which is scheduled to take place from March 18 to April 18 this year in celebration of the Navruz holiday.

The meeting addressed the organization of the exhibition at a high level, ensuring thorough preparations, and other related matters.

This exhibition is dedicated to Fergana, and it will showcase the creative works of our craftsmen who have preserved and continue the true traditions of the Fergana school in fields such as pottery, weaving, wood carving, jewelry making, chasing, embroidery, carpet weaving, and more.

The exhibition will feature unique works from potters Sharofiddin Yusupov, Alisher Nazirov, chasing masters Hasan Umarov, Zokir Gʻafurov, woodcarvers Mirzayunus Umarov, Mahamatali Yunusov, Jamshid Madg‘oipov, skilled weavers Rasuljon Mirzaahmedov, Ibrohim Sultonov, embroiderer Nargiza Sherxo‘jayeva, and carpet weaver Ilhom Davletov.

The exhibition is also planned to be presented in foreign countries.

In addition to the handicrafts, films about Fergana’s craftsmen will be shown at the exhibition, and there will be masterclasses, lectures, creative discussions, and artistic meetings with participants for young people and all interested attendees.
